Time to get your smartphones ready as you might be needing them for today (Monday). Rumors are afloat that computer users all across the US (who didn't take heed of the warning) might have their internet disabled just about after midnight.
Why you ask? A malware is to blame for that. It's been hiding for almost a year now and today (Monday, July 9th, 2012) is the day it is supposed to strike.
Without getting into too much of a detail, we will just summarize as to what exactly caused these array of problems that has led to today. It began with an international hacker group starting up an online ad scam to try to take over more than 570k infected computers across the globe.

The FBI intervened, before realizing that they might have to watch those infected computers go down if they disabled the malicious malware program.
Kind of a catch 22 situation, isn't it?
But don't worry, the FBI took care of that by installing up a safety net that will take care of malware and keep your PC from getting effected.
